Resilience Under Fire: Israel’s Challenging Fight in Lebanon"
According to the newspaper Yediot Aharonot, Israel's military faced a tough challenge in southern Lebanon. Even though they sent five big groups of soldiers called divisions along with two more divisions from the reserves - that's three times as many troops as the last time they fought there for 33 days - they had trouble moving forward. They couldn't even take over one little village in the whole four weeks they were fighting!

This battle really took its toll on Israel's soldiers. Since the fighting started, over 5,200 men got hurt. And 767 were in bad shape called critical condition. Even now, 291 are still getting treatment from the doctors. That includes 27 whose situation is still dangerous to their lives. Beyond the wounds to their bodies, the effects on their minds are huge too. Now almost 300,000 Israelis need help with their mental health after what happened. https://a.co/d/48Hr17z
Does this help explain what happened in a simpler way? Let me know if any part is still unclear! Our troops work so hard to keep us safe. It's tough when they face challenges, but I hope the injured will keep recovering well. And I hope anyone struggling with how it felt can get the support they need.
